The message could not be clearer.

Congratulations to Maria Corina Machado.

Breaking news: María Corina Machado has been awarded the prize for ‘keeping the flame of democracy burning amidst a growing darkness’ . The win dashes the hopes of US President Donald Trump. on.ft.com/4ocHAKY

The man who broke Britain with Brexit telling the rest of the world that Britain is broken. Slagging off teachers-this from a man whose own teachers described him as holding "racist and neo-fascist views ffs 🤦‍♀️

So refreshing to see someone challenge the smug, nasty Reform narrative

I’m so sad about the state of our world. I’m devastated for the Jewish community and for Manchester. We are a diverse city where people of different faiths co-exist peacefully together. Hate will never divide us. Sending love and solidarity to my Jewish friends and to the community . I’m so sorry.

I’m horrified by this. Tommy Robinson posing as a “friend of Jews” in Israel is absurd. He founded the EDL, a movement riddled with antisemitic chants and Nazi salutes. He’s built his brand on hate. Hate against Muslims doesn’t equal support for Jews — it just fuels division.

Uk joins Canada and Australia in recognising Palestinian Statehood.

It's long overdue but to be welcomed.

The UK has joined Canada and Australia in formally recognising Palestinian statehood.

PM Keir Starmer said the decision is intended to “revive the hope of peace” through a two-state solution.

Canada and Australia were the first G7 nations to make the announcement earlier today.

If you look at the numbers in attendance, around 100,000, that is less than 0.2% of our population. We’ve had far bigger marches here against the Iraq war for example. The rise of the right is a concern and there are far right agitators like Musk and Bannon trying to capitalise on it.

Far right protest today:
29 - police officers injured
9 - protestors arrested

Proscribed group protests:
0 - police officers injured
1,600 - protestors arrested

We have Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper to thank for this absurd anomaly

He was raised in a staunchly Republican, conservative environment with deep Mormon roots. There’s no evidence linking him to any leftist groups or Democratic organizations. His political and social upbringing shaped his worldview. His parents brought him up with guns. Everything that MAGA loves.

The ‘Raise the Flags’ campaign isn’t harmless patriotism — it’s fronted by Andy Saxon, a convicted violent racist with deep ties to the EDL & Britain First. Don’t let the far right wrap hate in bunting. I remember The National Front doing similar in the 1970’s

Fantasy flights, camps on barracks, and binning human rights law. He’s not solving migration — he’s stoking fear to stay relevant. Same old Nigel, selling anger because he’s got no real answers.

On Tuesday Nigel Farage will publish his proposals for mass deportations, Prison camps, leaving the European Convention on Human Rights & scrapping the Human Rights Act, quitting the Refugee Convention and the UN Convention against Torture - is that a country we want?

This is outstanding. God knows what Labour is doing: legitimising the racism that'll be its undoing, losing the coalition which put it in office, trying to secure voters who will never support it, digging its own moral grave.

Grim predictions of ‘societal collapse’ and ‘civil war’ will hit home so long as Labour fails to address the country’s problems, says Guardian columnist John Harris

The threat to our society is not from asylum seekers in small boats. It’s from politicians and media cynically whipping up fear and prejudice, labelling them all as criminals, inciting hatred against people for where and what they’ve fled from.
It must stop. For all our sakes. It’s deeply sinister.

As a British observer, I’ve been shocked at any lack of checks and balances. It’s a sobering warning for all of us. Loved her interview. She is still a total queen . Unbelievable that she didn’t win. I will never understand it.
