Visited Hoboken today and experienced things that New York officials don’t want you to, like benches at a major train hall and widespread corner daylighting for better visibility (including outside a police station).

Good morning from Chelsea! We're hosting a walk audit with Equitable Cities, examining the relationship between the built environment and climate change, and talking about solutions to ensure safer, healthier, more resilient communities (hint: it’s daylighting!)

On @errollouis.bsky.social podcast, @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social reminds us that the LIC rezoning should deliver housing + jobs and invest in parks & open space. Reclaiming Queensbridge Baby Park is the chance to create continuous waterfront access + expand space for people. Sign bit.ly/qbbabypark

All I take from this is that NYC needs more streets and sidewalks designed for people to walk at various speeds, including as slowly as they want or are able to. It’s the infrastructure, not the people. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/16/n...

@ny4p.bsky.social joins in declaring that NYC needs universal daylighting now. Increasing visibility at intersections saves lives, makes it safer to access parks & playgrounds, and creates space for greenery + stormwater capture — real climate infrastructure. Pass #Intro1138 this session. 🌱🚦🌳
