Everyone ignores this huge problem striking families with LC kids, already devastated. If these extremely vulnerable children were taken from their parents “by mistake,” they’d lose the essential care they need to survive. Even the hint of this is terrifying. This is inhumane.

Update: Ald. Fuentes held a presser this afternoon with other local electeds in response to this incident. She said the person the agents were arresting is a ~37 y/o man who broke his leg while being chased by ICE.

Fuentes told press ICE agents blocked attorneys from speaking to the man.

On Saturday, September 27, US Air Force veteran Dana Briggs was arrested outside of the Broadview ICE detention facility. He is being charged with assaulting a federal officer, which is a felony.
