You probably know me as @SowaTheArrogant from the bad place.
Photographer in Maryland. My sports fandom is based in Chicago sports teams, unfortunately.

This is the first time in my memory where the Bears were a good team and the national media mostly gave them credit for it but the Chicago media was being negative about them all year

Matt Nagy said "I didn't come here to run the I formation" and meanwhile Ben Johnson is like "if I have to run the I formation 60 times to win the fucking game that's what I'll do"

GOOD BETTER BEST
NEVER LET IT REST

This time a year ago the Bears were a laughingstock after losing on national TV in the most embarrassing fashion and firing their loser coach. Now they're 9-3 leading the division after convincingly defeating the defending Super Bowl champs, playoffs fully in sight

I had a good feeling going into this game but God damn the Bears just suffocated the Eagles, that win was actually pretty convincing

Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

"You must not obey unlawful orders, as you have been told in your training"
All Republicans: "you are telling the military not to follow Trump's orders? That's sedition"

...nobody said that but you. Telling on yourself as usual

Dems don't respect Stephen A (nor should they) and they treat him accordingly. Republicans are used to carnival barker antics so it doesn't bother them
Stephen A. Smith should stick to sports!

If you lower tariffs to lower prices, it means the tariffs do what, exactly? Anyone? Class?

Hot take: when a QB fake slides or fakes going out of bounds to freeze the defender in order to run over them to get extra yards, this should be a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty. This is not a legitimate strategy and the rules should reflect that. You're either a runner or you're not

So my son is on the spectrum right? I was petting my dog and said "who's the cutest puppy?" and my son said "not him, I'm sure there have been cuter puppies" 😆

Do I respect Stephen A Smith's political opinions? No
But does that mean I respect his contributions to sports discourse over his career? Also no.

If I said that grass was green and Andrew Tate agreed with me, I would seriously consider changing my opinion about the color of the grass

MAGA seems to be realizing what the other 2/3 of the country has already known for a decade now
Major caveat: this isn't their first time going thru this and if Trump could run for a 4th time they'd all still vote for him and do the "I didn't know he'd do this" act again when it predictably goes bad

When you watch his movies in the 80s at the peak of his fame you notice how he put *so many* young Black actors on
It’s easy to forget the breadth of Eddie Murphy’s career because he’s done *so* much, but in the first two minutes of #BeingEddie there’s a brief rundown of his accomplishments that make it clear: there’s no other entertainer who can match the combined weight of his scope of work & cultural impact

Nobody forgot about the shutdown my guy
"All they could do to distract from the Schumer shutdown cover-up is leak Epstein emails ... What a sleazy leak."
Jesse Watters attacks Democrats for releasing Epstein emails

This is rhetorical and Chris knows the answer, that said, this also is a pretty accurate description of Elon Musk
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

The shutdown is over so now I don't have to give head in gas station bathrooms anymore (only when I want to.)

Are the families you're defending in the room with us right now?
Kristi Noem: "We're not gonna just be in Chicago, we're spreading out to other cities and continuing to do our work. We're not going to give Pritzker any relief from his political rhetoric. We're gonna be in there defending these families."
November 12, 2025 at 1:41 PM
The shutdown isn't some abstract concept for me so the way people talk about it is actually low key irritating to me. Like everyone seems to be just talking past the fact that I don't have money, it's not even part of the conversation

In most other countries when their governments fail they dissolve it and start over with a new one so I think this is a completely reasonable room temperature take actually
My political hot take is that US voters should be able to recall elected representatives via petition - at any time.
No more hiding behind election terms.
