If a show is popular enough to get a spin-off, then the stars of the original show are likely really popular--and expensive.

Using them on the new show is likely to be really expensive--especially since they now an entire series hinge on a successful launch.

Why, when a TV show gets a spin off, do they so often try to start it with a bad expository episode with brand new characters who are just annoying instead of some of the characters we're familiar with from the OG series. This is a rhetorical observation I don't need actual answers

Short stories in general are a much better introduction to reading, especially recreational reading, for kids anyway.

When they start getting upset the story is over, introduce them to novellas and novels, where they can more time immersed.
