It's quite sad that this wasn't framed positively. I was only talking to someone the other day about how every other woman in my family who is my age (and much younger) is a SAHM, and it's cool I had the choice whereas my mum didn't.

It makes sense when you consider that women are less likely to enter middle leadership and be in a position to rewrite those modules, and even if they're Heads of Dept they essentially need to want to do it for free. It's a huge endeavour on top of an already high workload
