After 8 years & 400 Black-headed Gulls caught & ringed at Center Parcs Sherwood, on Saturday we had our first ever control. Not got the full details yet but we do know it was ringed in June 2003 making it 22 years old.

Ringed under BTO licence.

Stoked to have controlled this #Firecrest in the 'wild' area of @londonzoo.bsky.social. It had been ringed at @landguardbo.bsky.social in October and is almost certainly a continental migrant. It is one of only ~6 Firecrests that have travelled over 100km in the UK #Londonbirds #birdinging #BTO
