Sepsis mistakes killed our daughter – we fear it could happen again
Grieving parents call for better sepsis training to be introduced urgently so no family goes through what they did.

Making me smile to think that this morning Thomas Rew leads out England in a World Cup Final and then Monday morning is back at school, getting ready for his A levels.
England v India ICC Under 19's final is on BBC Sounds Radio 5 Sports Extra from 0715.

Series 15 and I’ve only just come across it; times like these a must listen; serious editing here and brilliantly done.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

How did my life come to this!
Up at 5.30 researching something called a beer smash performed by a legend of wrestling 🤷‍♂️
Show me the way to go home.

Hello @chrisgpackham.bsky.social
I missed ‘Earth’ first time it came out. Maybe it’s not important to tell you but I think it’s a must see & so brilliantly told; told in a way which gives clarity & perspective of we humans & the planet we live. Thank you.
I recommend to everyone on BBC IPlayer.

Alun Wyn Jones on Celebrity MasterChef; he’s tearful and an amazing Chef; wow!

I just think that Australia have more players who still know how to play Test cricket; reinventing the wheel is at times exciting but mess about with it too much & it comes off the road. Also whatever rights & wrongs of county cricket perhaps you can’t ignore/dismiss it & expect things to go well?

Egg, sausage and Chips listening to 5 live sport at it’s very best with Mark Chapman; perfect Saturday.
Nothing new to say about England’s test cricket.

Looking forward to this but sadly it’s almost certain that Kookaburra features prominently

Very sad. Robin is at peace now. My thoughts are with those who loved him and will miss him so much.
@kevinhowells.bsky.social Rest in peace, Robin Smith. Sir Square of Cut. 💔💔💔💔💔

My Dad has been a lifelong Spurs supporter but has never once seen them live; so at 87 years old I splashed out for Christmas and a visit to see them in the new year.
Being the good son I am, after that 2nd goal tonight I rang him to see if he wanted socks instead!

I think this is brilliant from an outstanding radio programme which reminds me why I prefer radio over television

Talk of this being a statement from Australia; for me the statement is England’s middle order failing so badly third innings and you shouldn’t win from that; the fact sometimes you can, can make fools of us. But a Ben Stokes team can turn the series back. Of course amazing Head #TheAshes

Well yesterday I bemoaned not seeing more of Head v England’s bowlers. Well I have now! #TheAshes

Don’t wish to enter the arguments over the term ‘People of a certain age’ but fair to say I’m of that age that a 2.30 start won’t need an alarm. But what sleep will follow knowing what we know now? #TheAshes

Such can be the contradictions of watching cricket I wanted to see more of Head v England; and to be out to a better ball and shot; but Stokes is often the ringmaster and he now he has two #TheAshes

So credit to Brook and Pope for doing enough to allow a good three/four hours of sleep thinking all was well.
Now let’s see what this much nurtured attack can do.

See it’s not as simple as turning the commentary off followed by the lights; next it’s the stopping that ‘one final look at the score’ before going to sleep #TheAshes

It’s that time isn’t it; judge me as you will; 0320 lights out; sigh that hour ago thinking how it looked like only Starc was going to be a problem; oh well!
