The Republicans had a chance to do the right thing, especially in the second impeachment, and drive the stake through the heart of Trumpism. They simply chickened out, or were too enamored of the power and lucre that Trumpism granted them.

McConnell needs to go down as the worst of them all.

Stop focusing on the ones that don't do the work, focus on the ones that do. Lift up the ones who continue to fight the good fight - and then find a way to get engaged at your local level (if you haven't already). What gets us out of this is to roll up our sleeves and do the work.

Do they do it perfectly? Nope. But here on the ground, the only ones standing up are local Democrats, those who do the hard work every single day. Just like Pritzker, AOC, Newsom, and so many others on the state and national stage.

I see it every single day. My congregation, our neighborhood here in Detroit, we see it every single day. The cuts to the budget are coming from the Republicans. The use of force in our cities is coming from the Republicans. And the only ones fighting back are Democrats.

Trump's language is also centered in destruction - which is so much easier than construction. He will destroy the left, big government, his enemies, 'woke-ism', etc., etc. That is much easier to spew and digest, and provides a greater emotional wallop.
