I don't write about politics, but as a Minnesotan, I endorse this message from @chkbal.bsky.social 100%. Conditions here are grim, folks. Whatever your views on immigration policy, what ICE & CPB are doing to this community is unAmerican. They need to stop.
Take a slow, deep breath. It's a good paper. Congratulations.

I read a draft of this new article from @emilysbremer.bsky.social. It was fascinating. Can't wait to read the expanded version. Highly recommended.
Coming soon to SSRN, Vacatur Within the Appellate Model of Judicial Review, an article that started as a small intervention into the vacatur debate but grew into the judicial review installment of my multi-year project on the Administrative Procedure Act.

Boosting this question from my @umnlawschool.bsky.social colleague @danielschwarcz.bsky.social.
The amount of fraud coming to light in Minnesota is alarming. Wearing my MN insurance law hat, I keep coming back to one overlooked area: no-fault auto insurance & the incentives it creates for fraudulent medical & chiropractic claims in the state. Are there any good recent data or studies on this?

Congratulations to my @umnlawschool.bsky.social colleague @nicholasbednar.bsky.social on this well deserved recognition for his newest article on the Civil service, forthcoming in the Minn Law Rev. Check it out!

We're super excited about this paper, which provides empirical evidence regarding common critiques of OIRA review, some really interesting insights into the tax regulatory process, & potential lessons for OIRA review of independent agencies.

@bridgetdooling.bsky.social & I have posted @ssrn.bsky.social the first article to come from our study of OIRA review of tax regs, coming in @uvalaw.bsky.social Va Tax Review in early 2026. Lots of stats, graphs, & tables for those who like such things.

Very excited to welcome the impressive @hsanderson.bsky.social to the @umnlawschool.bsky.social faculty starting next fall! FWIW, I recommend ice cleats! (That said, overall, I think Minnesota's climate is unfairly maligned.)
I guess this means it's official!! I am beyond thrilled to be joining Minnesota Law as an associate professor next year.

Now taking recommendations for your favorite winter gear!

For #adlaw folks: Due to logistical issues from the federal gov't shutdown, ABA Admin Law has replaced its usual fall conference with a shorter but free online event on 11/21. Registration is required, but it's 6.5 hrs of free, quality CLE on admin law topics.

For those who follow tax & admin, the 8th Circuit just reversed the Tax Court in favor of the taxpayer in the big 3M transfer pricing case, citing Loper Bright plus the #SCOTUS First Security Bank decision, & treating Brand X as dead (rightly IMO).

From @orinkerr.bsky.social, highly recommended for my 1L students, although my 2Ls and 3Ls might also glean insights given the benefit of hindsight.

This from @orinkerr.bsky.social is so true. Also recommend the essay.
If you're a 1L starting law school in coming weeks, just remember: You're *supposed to* feel a bit confused at first. It's normal. Law is like a language. You learn it best through immersion. You'll take a few weeks to get to speed.

This may help, too:
