An initially-secret report for Customs and Border Patrol in 2013 found:

In many vehicle shooting cases, the “driver was attempting to flee from the agents who intentionally put themselves into the exit path of the vehicle, thereby … creating justification for the use of deadly force.”

At the end of Donald Trump’s first year back in office, roughly 300,000 fewer Americans worked for the government. Franklin Foer spoke with 50 federal employees who were either fired or forced out:
The Purged
Donald Trump’s destruction of the civil service is a tragedy not just for the roughly 300,000 workers who have been discarded, but for an entire nation.

I think about this July 2024 threat from the head of the Heritage Foundation quite a lot these days.
The Minneapolis pastor had observed "ICE agents circling a young woman who appeared to be Hispanic" and insisted they take him instead of harassing her. An agent then “came, got in my face, pointed a gun at me, and said, ‘Are you afraid now?’” trib.al/kv6rA7r

This is Minneapolis:

Our kids asked that their white noise machine be turned up to try to drown out the noise of the helicopter that’s been nonstop since we woke up this morning.

Our 7yo asked “Isn’t it past their bedtime, too? They should go home & stop being so noisy.”

There was amazing restraint and heroism by the U.S. Capitol Police and the Metropolitan Police Department on Jan. 6, 2021. They were viciously attacked by rightwing extremists and rioters incited by Trump.
Also, by their own standards, the cops protecting the Capitol on Jan 6 should have opened fire all over.

When does everyone decide it is enough
Masses are now marching through Tehran. Preliminary reports indicate the Iranian Tax Administration building is on fire.

Across multiple cities, disturbing updates are pouring in, wounded and killed numbers are rising fast. The regime is throwing everything it has at suppressing the uprising.
NEW: in temporary restraining order, judge blocks Trump from freezing childcare funding for 5 states (NY, CA, IL, MN, CO)
Amy Klobuchar: "There are now more ICE agents in Minnesota than there are police officers combined in Minneapolis and St. Paul. So they are outnumbering our own local police officers out on the streets."
We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.

I want to be frank with you all: this is a *very* tough read.

But it is fully factual, fully sourced, and full of necessary truths about where we are and what is about to happen in America.
As Tensions Flare in Minneapolis, We Learn That the Shooting of Renee Good Is Even Worse Than Originally Believed
The second day after the horrific killing brought new revelations that made an unthinkable tragedy and apparent government-sponsored crime worse than it already was—which had once seemed impossible.

Welcome to Minnesota, fuckers. Also this is super disturbing because the ICE agent's assault rifle appears to fire as he falls down.

This was filmed by a friend near Chicago and Lake last night.
