Moments ago: tenants of the South Shore apartment building that federal immigration agents raided at the end of September held a presser to announce they're forming a tenants union.

They're demanding, among other things, sewage removal and heat and electricity restroration.

Workers should be able to receive treatment for cancer or a chronic illness without the threat of losing their health insurance or their job. That's one reason @columbuslibrary.bsky.social workers are coming together to form their union!

The discharge nurse noticed they hadn’t prescribed antibiotics following my bilateral mastectomy. Made a call, surgeon was like oh yeah totally please send her home with antibiotics of course, my mistake. Essential professional members of any care team, absolutely.
