"Practical or not, achievable or not at this moment in time, which of Trump’s illegal, unconstitutional and criminal acts does *not* warrant impeachment?"

@jilldlawrence.bsky.social on impeachment: lnk.thebulwark.com/4qoQ3we
Embracing Impeachment
The case against Trump and his cabinet keeps growing—and the argument for waiting is no longer convincing.
lnk.thebulwark.com
And senior Republican leaders who are not impeaching him now. The unprovoked invasion of our NATO allies is as cut-and-dried "impeach & remove immediately" as anything since WWII, aside from "incite an insurrection at the Capitol to steal an election."

Total failure of Article I of the Constitution
And make no mistake, this is the fault of senior Republican leaders who did not impeach and remove Trump in 2021 and conservative justices that gave Trump a blank check prior to 2024
Great that our senior military leaders have to resort to distraction attacks to keep the toddler in chief from doing something catastrophic
Editorial in the National Catholic Reporter: "The vice president's comments justifying the death of Renee Good are a moral stain on the collective witness of our Catholic faith. His repeated attempts to blame Good for her own death are fundamentally incompatible with the Gospel."
Catholic Vice President Vance takes to social media to justify killing of Renee Good
After the tragic shooting of Renee Good at the hands of ICE, the Catholic vice president of the United States took to social media to justify the killing.

This puts the GOP at 218 with a shutdown coming.
Doug LaMalfa (California 1st Congressional district House Republican) just died according to Jake Sherman.
Five years ago, Donald Trump instigated a violent insurrection in the Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 election. The fact that the GOP coddled him, protected him, renominated him, and now support him in office, is a stain that will never be erased.
Five years ago.

Just keep repeating:

“About Venezuela? How should I respond to that? Well, what can I say? If… If it is possible to act with dictators like this, it means the United States knows what to do next. Thank you.” - Zelenskyy

The man is certainly fast on his feet.
Trump on Venezuela: "We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition"
Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., says Trump’s military action in Venezuela is “unauthorized.”

“Where will this go next? Will the President deploy our troops to protect Iranian protesters? To enforce the fragile ceasefire in Gaza? To battle terrorists in Nigeria? To seize Greenland or the Panama Canal?”

Same! Except none of Schumer’s offices were taking voicemails 😂

US citizens — instead of just posting on Bluesky call your Congress Reps!

3 skeets do nothing, 3 calls might actually flood the zone and influence our 50+ and older legislators to wake up…

Any Democratic member of Congress who wants to run for president in 2028 should file or endorse articles of impeachment before noon.

Yes, this is crystal clear on anti-corruption (and what Dems should be doing, and campaigning on)
I was wondering what Mamdani's first executive order would be, and I'm not disappointed by this.

He has wiped off the books EVERY Eric Adams executive order issued on or after September 26, 2024, the day Adams was indicted on federal bribery charges.

I’ve had arguments with peers who argue that “there are still good people from Twitter left” and “we can’t let the bad guys take it over.”

By now, the dangers of X make these moot.
I saw someone ask why anyone would still use X when Bluesky is available.

I think the explanation is:

1 Experience on a platform depends far more on who you interact with there than on the platform overall.

2 The experience you get on academic adjacent Bluesky is not a good fit for everyone.

Made the cheeseball tree from Crowded Kitchen; definitely a fan!

it's crazy that 500 years ago, you would see the ruler of your country maybe once in your life and hear whispers that they're the Sun God, but now with social media, you get to see on a daily basis that they're the most unhinged, idiotic, and unhappy person you know

Merry Christmas!

Ok I think the Kleenex is making me feel worse

Only in the UK; a sign warning about carrying on Christmas crackers

One more impeachable offense; where the hell is the ceiling
This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…
