Does social media harm everyone?

No. But it harms *most* adolescents.

However, not all platforms are harmful.

An analysis of 44,211 diaries from 479 adolescents over 100 days finds that 60% of adolescents experienced small, negative effects of social media

With December being a busy month, we're starting out the features on our December issue now with an editorial introducing the special issue articles. Read this piece and the rest of the December issue online now: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10....
Any exemplars of websites for graduate programs that you feel are especially good at featuring the contents needed, in a sufficiently modern and clear way?

We've started kicking the tires on revamping parts of ours, and I'm curious what inspo is out there

How do resource fears (realistic threat) vs. value clashes (symbolic threat) drive war & peace?

We built a virtual society of 25 autonomous agents using the Park et al. (2023) framework to find out, using a "minimal groups" paradigm (Group A vs. B).

But first, we looked under the hood. 🧠

I'm doing as little as possible and encourage all to do the same :-)

In the spirit of designs to test mediation, I might also recommend these two articles

Two screenshots with some resources.

First, the list of readings about mediation shortcomings that I often share with people

Second, a list of more recent than 1986 overviews of mediation analyses

Hello to the BlueSky community! ☀️We are @ijsocialpsychology.bsky.social, a bilingual (Spanish–English) journal that publishes empirical research across all areas of #socialpsychology. Read this thread to learn more about us 🔽

Journals should explicitly take time off around major holidays.

This won't align with all world regions, nor holiday traditions, but is better than the status quo of ambiguity. It also gives journal editorial staff explicit time off.
