Easy to mock Sec of Defense for picking fight w/ decorated fighter pilot / astronaut senator who (along w/ his family) has made absurd sacrifices for US, then getting confused by his uniform being backwards in the a mirror, but in his defense, the Secretary was probably drunk the entire time.

19th Paragraph on NYTimes article on Trump seizing the means of production casually notes that Trump "personally purchased" between $1-5 million of debt in company we were seizing (1) how much did he "pay" (I am assuming $0?) (2) did he do it right *before* he announced we were seizing company?

Don Trump has ended material support for Ukraine and is now laundering Russian demands against them. This is not a mistake, he wants autocratic invaders to win, to slaughter the innocent, because he sides against democracy, prosperity, and peace. Chamberlain is 10x the man Trump is.

Neville Chamberlain was trying to do the right thing for UK & democracy, he messed up in Munich sacrificing Czechoslovakia, he knew it, he then prepared for war and shocked Hitler by declaring war on Germany less than a year later to defend Poland. Then he backed Churchill as his replacement.

My assumption is that no one is letting Trump know he is crazy unpopular, that his action is slowed by a mix of dementia & lack-of-preparation, and fact that his corruption driven policy is screwing US up so badly: dude is just too far gone to sell himself anymore.

Trump's propaganda machine has fallen apart: he is attempting war with Venezuela w/o any explanation, attacking Senator Kelly for denouncing Trump's illegal orders to the military has blown up within seconds, his pivot to affordability was just telling reporters he was pivoting. He is out of juice.

One immediate winner to emerge from the encounter has been Jack Posobiec, a far-right podcaster and activists who was recently credentialed as a member of the White House press pool. As Mr. Trump and Mr. Mamdani fielded questions from reporters, Mr. Posobiec, pressed the mayor-elect on his campaign policy proposals, asking whether Mr. Mamdani intended to increase property taxes for “white people” in New York City.

Don Jr., Eric, and Jared are obviously breaking many federal laws as they pillaged over $10 billion in crypto, real-estate, and other schemes with foreign regimes in just 1 year. As Doge is officially shut down, having killed 100's of thousands, stolen a lot of PII, and cost US money (rather than saving US), all with no accountability, I like to think about this Kalshi market for how much it would save US that did not bother to have a contract for $0 or less.

Underappreciated lesson from 2016: most fake news was run for profit (not ideology) & right-wing fake news thrived because it sold better than left-wing fake news. X takes that to next level with a social media platform designed for right-wing users, intentionally incentivizing right-wing fake news.

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

In the "About this account" tab, it appears the account is based in Nigeria An account called MAGA scope writes: Who, in your view is the great enemy of the United States? Communism, Islam, Democratic Party, or Satan? The account is based in Nigeria. An account called MAGA Nadine writes: You go to work and find this. What would you do? The attached pic is an AI image that shows a microwave. The microwave has a sign that says "For religious reasons, this microwave is now making halal food only." The account is based in Morocco. An account called America First posts an AI image of Tulsi Gabbard. They wrote: How would you rate your trust in Tulsi Gabbard on a scale of 1-10?

Its goals were never efficiency or saving money.

Its goals were to destroy as much of government as possible forever, and to steal data for the Space Nazi.
