This. What is generally termed #AI (actually mainly #GenerativeAI / #LLM -driven automation), has no real path to financial viability (or necessity), so "forced adoption" is the only way the billionaire elite and their political minions are going to enrich themselves from it in the longer term.

The is is not surprising. UK #Labour has been a massively pro- #surveillance party for a long time. It was under Labour that we produced the Report on the Surveillance Society in 2006... Foucault understood Bentham's #Panopticon as repressive social reform and that's #NewLabour all round.

It’s not that Carney has no plan to deal with the US, or that he’s selling Canada out. It’s that his proposed solution to the problem that he has *correctly* identified is simply a repackaging of tired, old conservative ideas that should have gone out of fashion with the 2008 GFC, if not earlier.

The AFN strongly condemns these actions and reaffirms First Nations’ inherent and Jay Treaty rights to cross-border mobility. The AFN advises any First Nations members traveling to the U.S. to carry valid identification, including a Status Card or a Canadian passport. Anyone requiring assistance with Status Card applications, renewals, replacements, or urgent processing related to travel may contact Indigenous Services Canada’s Secure Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS) Program at 1-800-567-9604 or visit www.canada.ca/indigenous-services-canada. Please note that federal law enforcement may not be familiar with Tribal IDs. The same circumstances are true when it comes to metro systems.

China opened more metro lines in 2025 alone than exist in the entire countries of Russia, UK, or France. Over the past 4 years, China built 2.5x as much metro lines as the US has in total.
China is building nation-sized metro systems every year.
