I like to talk about politics
When people say AGI is inevitabile, that AI will only get better and better with each versione, it reminds me of self driving cars. People talked that way about that, and yet there's been no progress in years.

People paid who knows how much for a "Full Self Driving" feature that never came.

Once again, it turns out “fully autonomous” means “a guy in the Philippines.”
It Turns Out Waymos Are Being Controlled by Workers in the Philippines
During a Congressional hearing, Waymo's chief safety officer, Mauricio Peña, was grilled over the company's reliance on overseas workers.

I need to talk to people who didn't drink the AI kool-aid, for my sanity.

I do not understand the world or people anymore.

Nobody seems to see the nonsense anymore, nobody cares for authenticity, accuracy, reliability or truth anymore.

As long as it's plausible, it's good!

Could anyone tell how this is different than the Germans hiding Jews from the SS almost a hundred years ago?

ICE is the American SS
NEW: School hallways are silent. Grandparents patrol outside in shifts. Two more kids taken from Liam Ramos' school.

Trump isn't deescalating ICE at all at MN schools.

ICE Is Circling Minnesota Schools, Looking For Children to Take
Liam Ramos, 5, isn’t the only child in detention. Teachers and parents describe kids being hunted by federal agents.

Isn't that just translating the US rhetoric, which to me would be a sign that they're being propelled by US propaganda and interests. No?

Thanks for creating it, Adam!

What I find ironic is that AI's solutions to climate change would be a summary of what scientists are already saying today anyways.

The very same things politicians and tech CEOs alike are ignoring and not listening to.

Amazing video about the lies the Tech CEOs tell us daily about AI, in particular in relation to climate change and energy needs by @climateadam.bsky.social

Really love this one!

Turns out that Microsoft's BitLocker security for the data stored on your hard drive is just a placebo.

Might as well give your password to everyone:

Microsoft gave FBI a set of BitLocker encryption keys to unlock suspects’ laptops: reports
The FBI served Microsoft a warrant requesting encryption recovery keys to decrypt the hard drives of people involved in an alleged fraud case in Guam.

So here are some of the accusations and veiled threats to Switzerland (and Canada, too)

Should I be concerned that I apparently can follow the line of thinking of a demented man?
January 21, 2026 at 4:55 PM
You have to interpret a lot what he's saying and you could easily be accused of manipulating his statements, TBH
January 21, 2026 at 4:54 PM
The fact that he excluded military force is something, although his word is meaningless. But he's probably forced to say this because it won't fly back at home.

The insults, accusations and dumb statements – honestly who cares about the ramblings of an old man
January 21, 2026 at 4:52 PM
That's dementia though, he'd doesn't have coherent thoughts
January 21, 2026 at 4:45 PM
In this clip he was referencing the fact that Switzerland paid no tariffs on exports to the US, which goes both ways BTW.
January 21, 2026 at 4:45 PM
Oh tariffs. Ok.
His clock is broken, he may need a new Swiss watch
January 21, 2026 at 4:36 PM
Because we have too much debt??
January 21, 2026 at 4:21 PM
In about 45 minutes we'll get a new deranged statement from an old man with dementia, who was given the nuclear codes for some reason.

Academics’ enthusiastic (and often uncritical) embrace of LLMs and generative artificial intelligence will be a factor in the junkification of research.

You can’t outsource thinking nor the cognitive task of gradually absorbing knowledge. Nor discernment and creativity.

I wonder if you're so disinterested in politics that you don't care about the US plans to militarily invade Europe
That would be a disaster for the UK.

«'The current concerns [about an invasion] are driven by the most extreme views coming from Stephen Miller. The UK's positioning will be key - whether it sticks closely with European allies or breaks ranks [to sanction Trump's approach].'»
