Just because you think you’re doing god’s work, doesn’t mean it’s ok to expect or ask young folks working for you to work 30-40 hours for 20 hours of pay. Just sayin.

Looking forward to this in Chicago. Featuring some folks who were there in the early days of organizing for fair lending and community reinvestment, and talking about the 1975 Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.

Many a late night crunching HMDA data for advocacy and research.

DHS: We need to be able to violate the Constitution and be given 100s of billions because we're catching "criminals" who are raping and killing Americans
Me: No, you're not.
DHS: Your premise is shockingly dangerous!
This race is close and, given how much Democrats outperformed the polls a few weeks ago, a win is actually possible.

But even a narrow loss in a gerrymandered district Trump won by 22 points last year would be a sign of significant progress.

If you do the crime, you do the....oh right.

Someone keeps her eye on the prize, especially when it’s bacon.
This is the scandal. Trump isn’t targeting dangerous people. He’s targeting peaceful immigrants. Almost exclusively.

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

There's a whole swath of political media -- Semafor, Axios, Politico, etc. -- where the average piece reads like a press release commissioned by its subject rather than an objective and independent analysis of them.

This is just embarrassing.
Assuming this is related to Ben Smith I was honestly shocked by this, an astonishing bit of bootlicking from top to bottom

The Gaza protests not only “provoked intense political conflict.” Liberal and Dem leaders are still calling them antisemites for caring about liberal principles like human rights and international law…and they expect these same kids to come defend liberal democracy!

@brendannyhan.bsky.social is right: young people are reluctant to come to the defense of institutions that have excluded them, ignored them, and crushed their movements

Man, I am so sick of the “Atlanta is a group project” slogan.

Aren’t group projects universally despised (except the ones I gave of course)? And who are the folks in this one who didn’t do any of the work or even show up for project meetings?

This is so important. And photos of these postings should find their way into the Chicago History Museum as a permanent exhibition.
