Also, funny thing, but recently I knew that someone from my family works in the industry, on special effects, and yeah, that's kinda encouraging, I guess?

A few years ago I did an interview for a dubbing company, which takes care of everything (the course, contracts, etc), and I am starting to think about giving it a chance. If I get enough money to pay the registration, of course. I'd love to be a VA, but idk 🤔

Non-important detail, but even if it is not visible, the document that Soap holds in his hand has written the lyrics of a song with which I identify the beginning of this story and I used to listen to when I drew the scenes ⬇️

Simon reaches over to pull a sheaf of papers from the bag sitting beside the bed. He hands them to John, who sits up against the headboard and begins reading. He makes it as far as the document title before he shoots a wide-eyed look at Simon.

"Is this a joke?"

"No joke, Johnny. Cross my 'eart."

John gapes at him for a full five seconds before bursting into a stuttering mess. "B-but... I didnae think... D'ye really want... Are ye sure?"

Simon sits up facing him and gently takes the hand not holding the papers. He presses a kiss to scarred knuckles, and when he looks up, his expression is as serious as John's ever seen it.

"We agreed to say traditional vows because I didn't wanna say personal ones in front of everyone. But if I wrote my own, they'd go something like this: I only stayed in the military so long because I thought that's all I'd ever be good for. Didn't have friends. Didn't want a family outside of the one I lost. I was an asset. A weapon. But then I met you, and Johnny... you changed everythin'."

I have found old photos of my father recently, and it's strange, like looking at a distant dream. I did not get to know him well, died when I was 9 years old, but it is kind of magical to see him as a young man and all that, if you get what I mean.

Same! I mean, the episode is very interesting, one of my faves, but it was like seeing them the whole time because the characters were so similar to Farah and Ghost, or at least that's my vision lol
