No but in all seriousness, Katsumi might have an rbf but she's very quick to angry or flustered and that doesn't gel with the vibe she's trying to give

The meta reason is that I did not take that accessory off for my entire first run of PLA lmfao

There's 2 reasons Katsumi wears the Zoroark mask in her reference sheet.

For one she uses it as a way of deterring weaker Pokemon from messing with her and to help her blend in on expeditions.

The other is because she's a lot more expressive than she wants to admit lol

he's a very kind hearted traveling samurai with his own shit to work out, but through him she learns how to trust again.

I will let my bestie yap more about his background if she wants, but he's very important to Katsumi's lore so I had to include a post about him 🫶🏻

Riding off of the shit show of how the village and especially Kamado treated her, Katsumi's realization that the man she loved was planning to destroy everything she'd worked so hard to protect, she lost it.

Afterwards, she has a very hard time trusting anyone again.

So just to infodump real quick, Katsumi and Volo were really close. There were mutual feelings between the two. I think they both tried to avoid that for as long as possible for their own reasons. But it couldn't be helped.

So when the reveal finally happened, something in her snapped.

Continuing in my daily uploads, here's a sketch I did reimagining the final confrontation between Volo and Katsumi.

They have an interesting relationship for sure in my lore.

Unfortunately, at the end of her journey, she's unable to return to her own time and lives the rest of her life in Hisui.

I think to get into the habit of posting on bluesky, I'm gonna make a promise to post one drawing a day, even if it's just a rough sketch from my sketchbook.
