BlueSky deleting Palestinian accounts and sweeping queer issues under the rug/silencing us is the online equivalent of trying to shove all the impoverished people out of a city or neighborhood because the privileged get uncomfy and think it makes their spaces dirty, unsafe, and undesirable.

the most annoying thing about the #bskycensorship is that the tools are already built to ensure youth are protected via confirming their accounts are 18+ to view adult material, and the equivalent of spoiler labels allow adults to toggle or click to consent to see artwork with sensitive topics

New TOS censorship of fictional adult content is a massive overreach and makes this definitively not a free and open platform. It demonizes survivors and silences artists.

Why ban fictional depictions of anything? And how will consent be determined from an illustration?
