One thing I don't see mentioned about AI is how much of an ego stroker it is. It's endlessly fascinated by your dumb ideas and ridiculously encouraging. Instead of ever saying how stupid you are, it'll be like, "now's a great time to learn how to ride a Harley! You're 57 years young, baby!"

I had that dream again where it's the ending of Coco, but I'm the one playing the guitar for grandma. I start playing the song, but the strings hurt so bad that I can't finish playing before grandma fades away into the night, shaking her head disapprovingly.

Lately, I've been catching up with My Hero Academia. I left off at season 5 and although the first half wasn't as well paced as previous seasons, the second half more than made up for it. Am I crazy to think this is one of the better shounen anime out there?

Each tiny step or try or discovery is a step forward. You are learning, and will learn, so much; it'll blow your mind! Take many notes; it helps restarting from zero. Using VMs, as you note, helps the "oh I have this machine; I don't want to install over this!" feeling. Try virtualbox to learn!

I've been learning Linux from behind the scenes! Not interested in using Win11 as a main machine, so I've been playing around with a distro on a laptop. If any of y'all are linux-curious, I recommend digging up an old laptop or making a VM and learning it yourself.
