Never book with @bookingcom. Utter thieves. Despite the Westone Manor Hotel refunding the payment, Booking.con say they can't reimburse me because it sets a nonrefundable third party booking. Funny that it was done though their site. Utter thieves.

There’s no screening for ovarian cancer and it’s really difficult to spot: you can’t squidge your ovaries in the shower to check for lumps. Also it’s very good at masquerading at other things, like IBS and diverticulitis.

Please take a look at this list of symptoms - and share if you can.

I hear the Epstein Ballroom will be illuminated solely by gaslighting.

If you want a full portion of guide dog refusal, with a side order of ignorance of the law, book this place, Westone Manor Hotel, Northampton. #GuideDogs #AccessRefusal #DisabilityDiscrimination

Just had an experience I never want again. Woody slipped and fell onto the tracks between the platform and the train, and couldn't get back up. Fortunately a lovely member of station staff helped me get him to safety and and safely onto the train. So relieved.

Not quite the news I wanted but perhaps the news I needed, from my recent diabetic eye screening.

What a small world. Bumped into a couple who were on my last cruise.

Good morning from a sunny Vigo, though my phone swears it's Gdynia.

All aboard the Skylark. Now refuelled after a Goan vegetable curry.

In other news, I have a lovely new podiatrist who confirmed my suspicion, I have an infected toe. The joys of diabetes.

Feeling anxious as my housing officer thinks it's better that I take my guide dog to spend on a walk than in my garden, unless I lead spend and clean up every time. Apparently employing a professional waste management company assist once a week is unhygienic and unreasonable.

There's nothing better than a neatly trimmed bush. Except for two neatly trimmed bushes.

Today I have alternating earworms of the Star Trek theme (2009 JJ Abrams' version) and Blondie's Atomic (not my favourite Blondie track by a mile).

Hard to believe it was thirty years ago today I first met a life-changing dog.

I wouldn't have picked him, I'd been expecting a dainty little labrador girl, not a dog the size of a pony, who wouldn't move unless his trainer was in front.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social It was the Cobra, which did two circuits, the second backwards. My mum hated it, due to having a balance issue due to hearing loss. Whereas Dad never outgrew rollercoasters and was very disappointed to be denied riding the waltzers when terminally ill.

Feeling amused. I've been testing my new Meta glasses out -from visual descriptions, translation, listening to music and reading text. It even seems to have an argumentative function. As I was removed them, I commented on the last piece of information and Meta replied "That's not necessarily so".

I'm amazed at how time both drags and flies by. Mum would have been 90 today. Toasting her with a pork pie and a glass of dandelion and burdock.

Why do even the dedicated booking team not know their own policy re guide dogs? BFI IMAX. You need to improve staff training. It's on your website. Polite, helpful but not fully trained imho, despite a very comprehensive access policy.

I promised myself a fish supper and a cheeky jam and cream scone. All washed down with Picard's favourite tipple. #SimplePleasures

Couldn't fit in the scones so had them boxed for later. It would have been rude not to. They were delicious.

Stolen from a friend

My sister asked me who my favourite vampire is.

I told her, "The one from Sesame Street."

She replied, "He doesn't count."

I said, "Oh, I assure you, he most certainly does."
