I got my granddaughter a used clarinet three years ago when she decided to join the band. I wanted to make sure she'd love it before buying a better clarinet. I didn't anticipate that three years later everything would be SO expensive. Now she needs one and I'm struggling to afford renting one. Ugh.

Last night I spent an hour on Facetime with my grandaughter, showing her my messy office and clothes closet. She was fighting with mom about keeping her room clean (they just moved and poor mom was going bonkers with all the clutter). But Nana, she said - you're too old to have a messy room! 😂😱😬
