True, they can't defund ICE, but they can insist on new regulations making it clear warrants are required and that violent agents are NOT immune, among other things that can rein in their behavior. In theory, at least. Intentional lawlessness is their M.O. and it's not like the DOJ will stop them.
FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

I always think cramming all the meetings into two days of the week is a good idea that will allow me to get more work done on the other days (and not fuss with hair or makeup haha), until one of those two days has 4 or more meetings in it, and then I think that was a very bad idea.

I've seen a bunch of incorrect statements about the Salt N Pepa copyright decision, and I don't want to single people out so I'm addressing some common ones here for your reference and education. Thread starts below with "they didn't write their songs"
I know it's not the worst of the week, but I'm disappointed to learn that a court dismissed Salt N Pepa's lawsuit against UMG. Salt N Pepa sought a declaration that their termination under 17 USC 203 was valid, which would return their sound recording copyrights (i.e. "masters") to them.
