My favorite thing about long-running scifi series is that some things get consistently and extensively explained and others are just, "because it does". Like warp drive and transporters in Star Trek? So much more. Artificial gravity and the "inertial dampeners"? Naw.

Ghu, a President Archer star trek series actually intrigues me but I just *know* it'd be ruined with nostalgia bait and I'm not sanguine about the new owners' political intentions either.

I was having *such* an amazing time with the latest episode of ST:SNW. And then, five minutes from the checkered flag, with a massive lead to take "best EP of the season", they decided to veer off the track and dive face first into a pile of nostalgia-bait manure.

I know there's been a lot of "haha you reap what you sow" aimed at the right when they suffer under Trump, and I've done it, too. But, and maybe this is crazy, but I don't want to anymore.
