Caught the new East Midlands Railway Aurora class home from London to Leicester. We left London about 6 minutes late and made it to Leicester in pretty much 1 hour - caught up 5 minutes. Think when we are fully running we could get close to a scheduled 1 hour direct train London/Leicester

A long day today - 6:30am train to London, 9:30pm train home. But I can’t fault my afternoon meeting location - it’s a great place to be.

In S17 of #Taskmaster, Nick Mohammed dressed as a vampire for his tasks. The production scrubbed all his reflections when he's dressed like this, but the only way I knew is because someone told me about it. It's subtle and very cool.

A farewell to Yorkshire as I head back south to Chatsworth farm shop and Matlock for the final day of my holiday. The moon and stars were still bright on the sky at 7am.

The Ivy at Harrogate definitely gave me a boozy dessert - a baba filled with coconut chantilly on mango puree and then they free poured dark rum over it. A good double shot! 🍹

Yorkshire Holiday so far - my first visit to Whitby Abbey, a trip to The Deep, a first visit to Beverley Minster and off to see the Wizard at Castle Howard

It’d deserve it - it’s a beautiful song that made me cry during the show. You only have to hear it once and you’ll be able to sing it which I think is the mark of a great musical theatre song

Oh Nikita! Never change 😂

First day of xmas shopping holiday in Yorkshire. The rain in Leeds was not good but the holiday cottage is stunning and ornate with a great view of Castle Howard. Will be heading there with my included tickets to explore their Wizard of Oz decorations

Okay, the crowd going nuts like someone just scored a touchdown at the Super Bowl all *through* the KDH performance is a hell of a thing to see hear/see:

It’s starting to feel like DC Dark Legion has a bit of a #JayDick agenda as that’s two recent wallpapers of them together #Batman

Why do we have an undersea them for “Reach for the stars”? #Strictly

Also if you’d just change Nikita’s outfit to a more emerald green then he’d be doing a Fiyero impression - dye it for musicals week and let Amber have her Wicked moment

Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Force’s social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like this…

I’ve walked 15,000 steps today and now my reserved seat is all the way to the far end of the platform at St Pancras. I think I want a nap.

Think I’ve just sold some shortbread to a Fortnum & Mason employee. Bought some peppermint bark to try at St Pancras and she was asking if I’d tried it before as it’s amazing. So I told her about Shortbread House’s peppermint bark shortbread - her reply “I need that in my life” 😁

One prosecco into Friday - it was a lunchtime treat for my half day shopping in London but just after I ordered I got confirmation I’d just won our company a new project 🥳

Sitting in a cafe off Oxford street and some guy in here is talking so loudly I’d swear you’d be able to hear him from Covent Garden

This ambassadors lounge at the Savoy Theatre is a bit fab! My included dessert board is a lemon cheesecake, marmalade sandwich and a chocolate donut. Pot of tea too and then a cocktail

Right wing assholes who vote Reform are never going to support Labour no matter how far to the right the party move on being anti-immigration and pro-transphobia (and probably pro-homophobia too let’s be honest…). So all Labour do is piss off anyone left of centre and lose badly anyway. #fuckwits

I will note that Nikita on Strictly got his own way with costume this week. He ditched the jacket, the sheer t-shirt and managed to trade classic paso trousers for leather. From Vicky Gill’s wardrobe ideas on Thursday he only kept the harness 😁

So returning at Blackpool for Strictly Come Dancing are four of the best dancers the show has ever seen - Jay McGuinness, Danny Mac, Ashley Roberts and Layton Williams. This could be fab-u-lous!
