As bsky has become my new aviation hangout site, I thought it was about time to introduce myself. I'm British born, grew up in NZ, but have lived in the US for 20 years. Trained as a pilot, but have been in tech for a long time. Expect lots of aviation content from me as I post about my travels.
Nice looking A220-100 sitting on the ramp in Nashville. Unfortunately, I don't get to fly on it today, I'm on an E170 on the way to DCA. #avgeek
On the way up to Traverse City (TVC) this morning via Detroit (DTW).

Reminds me of my days in the Partenavia P.68, just a bit bigger.
Based on the photo, I thought cuddles was just pissed off at the bartender because his cocktail was missing an olive.
Rotating out of Atlanta (KATL) on a Tuesday evening. #avgeek
Climb out from Orlando (MCO) in a 757-200. #avgeek
Nice view on departure from BNA. #nashville
Good evening bsky. #avgeek
Yep, same. I rarely ever present my passport at TSA for an international. Just make sure you've had the passport tied to your PNR verified either electronically or at a kiosk/desk to avoid having to present it at the gate prior to boarding.
Time to talk to the head CFI or Director and tell them you're never to be placed with that person again and that their behavour is unprofessional and completely unacceptable.
Great question! I'd say it was probably a jump seat ride I got on an Air New Zealand 747-200B back in the early 90s. The 200B had a flight engineer and analog cockpit, so pretty old school tech. The flight was from Sydney to Christchurch.
Finally in the air out of FLL after a 90 min delay due to a broken ADI. My connection is going to be very tight. #avgeek
Kendall, If your CFI says you're ready, that says a huge amount. Be confident and go and kill it!

As long as guns are easily available to crazy people, mass killings directed at so-called soft targets will continue. This is a fact. Countries where it's more difficult for crazy people to obtain guns have less shootings. This is also a fact. Do with these facts as you will.

Great looking panther tail on this Frontier A320. #avgeek

Eva air 747. Is this their original premium economy product from the early 90s?
Good morning everyone and happy Thursday.
Certainly feels that way! It always takes forever to board one as well.
My ride from ATL to FLL today. #avgeek
Back down to FLL tomorrow for a few days. Flying on a fairly rare bird, a 757-300. I haven't been on one of these for a few years. As per usual, I'm sure they're commence boarding a few hours before the flight 😎. #avgeek #757
