As bsky has become my new aviation hangout site, I thought it was about time to introduce myself. I'm British born, grew up in NZ, but have lived in the US for 20 years. Trained as a pilot, but have been in tech for a long time. Expect lots of aviation content from me as I post about my travels.
Back in Atlanta for a couple of hours before heading home. A good view of some jets from the A concourse Skyclub, including some 717s.

Top tip for the power plugs in these old Delta A330 D1 cabins. Use an international converter plug on a UK plug setting, as they're not used that much and won't fall out like the US plugs.

Good morning from Schiphol. I'm flying AMS-JFK this morning on a A330-300. It will be nice when Delta replaces these old J cabins. #avgeek

I can do a lot of things, but making the FAA sexy is not one of them.

Here's some thoughts on what it's like writing on commercial aviation safety & ATC & the FAA in 2025.

#35: I Can't Make the FAA Sexy
I’m smart. I’m a good writer. I can do a lot of things but making the Federal Aviation Administration sexy is not one of them.

As long as guns are easily available to crazy people, mass killings directed at so-called soft targets will continue. This is a fact. Countries where it's more difficult for crazy people to obtain guns have less shootings. This is also a fact. Do with these facts as you will.
