Insane. Cops in this Alabama town systemically slapped people with fake traffic violations & bogus charges to bankroll the government—fines & forfeitures made up *50 percent* of the town budget, totaling $487 per person. Policing for profit. reason.com/2026/02/11/a...
A tiny Alabama town ran an outrageous speed trap. Now it will pay $1.5 million to settle a lawsuit.
Brookside, Alabama, made national news in 2022 after investigations revealed it was bankrolling itself through predatory traffic enforcement.

One of the Minnesotans who stood up was Gust Johnson, a Vietnam war vet and nurse

He went to scene after Alex Pretti was killed

Agents repeatedly sprayed him in face

They tackled him (knocking out hearing aid and cutting arm)

They shackled him.

They held him ten hours.

They kept his phone.

According to multiple NYT sources, it wasn’t even military personnel at Fort Bliss that fired an anti-drone laser at alleged cartel drones. It was CBP who used the weapon on loan from DoD against a child’s party balloon they mistook for a drone. The Pentagon gave CBP an anti-aircraft weapon.

Navarro has repeatedly (and falsely) claimed that "illegals" were taking the jobs of Americans, including in this very interview.
If that's the case, then why is he now warning that job growth will slow amidst mass deportations? Shouldn't this be boom times for native-born workers?
Peter Navarro: "The jobs report comes out tomorrow. We have to revise our expectations down significantly for what a monthly job number should look like ... Wall Street has to adjust for the fact that we're deporting millions of illegals out of the job market."

Amongst other things, this again highlights the core point about due process. It’s bad enough to be in a “show me your papers” situation, but your precious citizen/non-citizen, “legal”/“illegal” distinctions are meaningless when you can’t prove anything to authorities because they don’t give a shit.

Little kids don’t have concepts of racism and xenophobia. That has to be taught. Or imposed.
