독서가들이 종종 종이책과 달리 이북은 읽은 구절이 기억에 잘 남지 않는다고 불평하곤 하는데 김재인이 여기에 대해 설명해 준 부분도 흥미로웠다.
장기기억과 관련된 해마 주위에는 장소 세포와 격자 세포가 있다고. 장소 세포는 3차원적인 좌표에서 어느 위치인지를 기억하는 데 관여하는 세포인데 장기 세포가 해마 옆에 많이 분포하기 떄문에 장기 기억에는 장소성이 중요하다고.
그런데 종이책은 책이라는 물리적 특성에 따른 장소성이 있지만 전자책은 장소성이 없기 때문에 내용을 이해하고 인출하는 과정이 종이책에 비해 잘 이루어지지 않는다고.

실천교육교사모임에서 기획하고 김성우, 김재인, 김현수, 천경호의 강연과 대담을 실은 <인공지능이 가르칠 수 있다는 착각>.
AIDT 도입으로 시끄러웠던 2024년에 이루어진 기획으로 AIDT에 대한 비판 목적도 있었던 강연회였지만 인공지능과 교육 문제에 대해 생각해보기에 좋은 책.
강연과 대담으로 이루어져 있어서 읽기도 쉬운 편이고.

읽으면서 특히 공감한 건 김재인의 강연 '인공지능과 학교라는 시스템'이었다. 강연 내용도 재밌었지만 초등 교장인 한희정과 대담할 때, 지금 초등학생들이 학교 내에서 알아서 필요한 장소를 찾는 능력이
