Damn good book.
'A Bram Stoker Award winning novel, The Fisherman is a masterpiece of cosmic horror that contains elements of Lovecraft, Moby Dick and the ghost stories of M.R. James.'

#JohnLangan's The Fisherman is No 16 in The Quietus 25 best pieces of #Horror Fiction of the 21st Century so far

Wonder why this scene looks so familiar...
#WildlifeWednesday 🐦🐕
Giving this a bump because I am pleased with the atmospheric & brooding tune & eerie vid.
Maybe give it a watch and or a repost.

Just saw #TheExorcist at the cinema and I can honestly say that, even at my considerably advanced age, this film still scares me. Like no other.

Majestically terrifying.
It's crazy isn't it? But what a cast!
The fella waking up in the hospital in an increasing state of disrepair freaked me out when I first saw it as a kid.

When in the woods, best beware of dead man's fingers lurking there.
Reaching up above the ground, a creepy fungi to be found.

Happy Halloween everyone.

Might have something #Halloween -y in the pipeline for tomorrow...
Highly recommended. Zesty, gruesome 80s haunted house, supernatural slasher perfection.

SUPERSTITION (1982), James W Roberson

Somewhere amid shelves of haunted vhs-era golden garbage lies a parsonage of pandemonium & witchcraft where bombastically eurocult pre-La Casa maiming mansions & canuxploi-mutation body horror engage in unholy coupling. Hallelujah. Amen.
One of the great unsung horrors of the 80s. I just love this flick.
RIP June Lockhart.
I loved her turn in Troll (1986) in which she appeared with her daughter Anne (pic 2).
Just bought tix to see #TheExorcist at the cinema. Haven't seen it on the big screen since the Scala waaaaay back in the day.
V excited.
This is splendid. Well worth your time.
Coming soon! Premiere Saturday 8th November, 9pm 🔎 MURDER BY DECREE (1979) starring #ChristopherPlummer as #SherlockHolmes with #JamesMason #DavidHemmings #DonaldSutherland #GenevieveBujold #AnthonyQuayle mystery drama #TPTVsubtitles
Fabulous! Marnie particularly rocks too.
Psycho is such a cool flick. You're in for a treat.
I also really enjoyed Frenzy by AH.
My brother had the attached paperback copy of Psycho when we were kids & the cover freaked me the Hell out. A good read as I recall, tho it has been a looong time.
Black Hole on Netflix? Hmmm, my initial reaction was not positive but with Jane "I Saw the TV Glow" Schoenbrun helming..?
Could be very interesting.
I love this! Such a strange & twisted little flick. Plus Sorrell "Boss Hogg" Booke & pre-heartthrob fame Leif Garrett. Would make a great double bill with The Children (1980).
