NEW: After Donald Trump was elected again, I started talking to trans, leftist, and anarchist gun enthusiasts and YouTubers. I wanted to know how they felt about community defense when it feels like rights, particularly for trans folks, are being stripped away: www.wired.com/story/the-ha...
The Hard-Left Shooters Leading a Gun Culture Revolution
Earlier this year, I attended a shooting competition for queer, often trans, very online misfits. Then Charlie Kirk was killed.

Good morning from America

American Airlines continues to be one huge clusterfuck. Even United, which has screwed me around plenty, isn't this bad. Plus, the American app is consistently useless for updates. Think twice before flying AA's amateur hour shitshow. Delta or just a rented donkey are better options.

I kind of want to make Christmas cards this year, but I have zero ideas. I used to make them every year, but that was a long time ago. I need to get my brain in gear.

Hey, @sgj.bsky.social, check out what I saw at the Tulsa airport.

I got to the Tulsa the airport just in time to find that my flight is delayed two hours. Bang up job, American Airlines. Two trips this weekend with delays on both ends. You’re batting a thousand.

I wasn’t going to buy anything at the horror con, but I couldn’t leave an Evil Dead flask behind. The colors in the photo are screwed up by these shitty florescent lights, but they look good in person.

Happy birthday to the one and only Boris Karloff. I love FRANKENSTEIN, but my favorite Karloff film is THE BODY SNATCHER (1945) directed by the great Robert Wise.

X rolled out a new feature overnight showing where accounts are based. This network of “Trump-supporting independent women” that claimed to be “real Americans” are based in Thailand.

The photos were stolen from European models & posts pushed pro-Trump lines while targeting Islam and LGBTQ people.

Good morning or middle of the night wherever you are. I'm exhausted, but I forgot to take my night pills so here I am awake. Since worthless for pretty much anything else right now, let's do an AMA until I fall over. Shoot me your questions.

What's everybody reading this weekend?
Happy Friday! I have a new book out, THE FLESH KING, the sequel to THE PALE HOUSE DEVIL. In the new book, Ford, Neuland, and Tilda are blackmailed into hunting down an immortal killer leaving skinless bodies all over New York. I'm also reading Hailey Piper's terrific A GAME IN YELLOW.
