of course my interpretation is that felicia was in love with corrin and corrin was in love with flora and flora was sleeping with corrin secretly in order to protect felicia from her and hated herself for it. only works with f! or nb!corrin because with m! it's like, twin sister maid threesome. ew.

like listen the fact that flora and felicia are the daughters of the chief and were sent to the northern fortress as hostages, and flora becomes involved with the rebellion while there, but chooses to both hide its existence from felicia and not assassinate corrin? girl.

that dialogue when you fight her in the ice tribe village and felicia enters combat with her, which is only available on m!corrin files to being with and is easily missable even then, is one of the best parts of the game and it's frankly crazy that the ice tribe plotline amounts to so little.

much the same way that the petra-edelgard relationship has the potential to be one of the most interesting in 3H but is totally squandered by koei tecmo. clearly FE doesn't want to engage with subalternity in this way, and yet IS/KT keep including it.

unfortunately much as I will defend fates with my life it does fail to pursue its most interesting threads. of course there's the lack of (most) same-gender paired endings meaning things like the camilla/selena supports never get a true conclusion, but honestly the biggest one is flora.

remembering how they had katarina call clarisse her "best friend" which, listen, I'm glad they're making it clear that they're not related, given clarisse's psychosexual complexes, but katarina consistently calls her "sister" in canon and not in a "calling an unrelated older girl 'onee-chan'" way.
