Just a shout out to the #OGRE Miniatures players, that these 6mm models make perfectly scaled trains & tracks to go with the plastic Ogre/GEV Miniatures. Well recommended.

One of the ranges we're well known for is our selection of 6mm SF scenery. A set that's proved to be really popular is the monorail, with over a dozen different types of carriage including an armoured train, along with stations, ground-level and elevated track.

Another trialling session for Imperial Elegy. Preferring this to Here I Stand. Finding less player downtime than HIS, & not so obvious who's winning so limited opportunity to Nobble-The-Leader. All done on Vassal platform & via Discord so its not being played F2F.

One post I meant to share for #BritishWarMemorials enthusiasts. It's very remote, but at some point will return to hopefully take better pix & notes.
Trip to St Aidan's of Thorneyburn, near Tarset in Northumberland. A c19th church built for one of the most remote parishes in England. Quite a few interesting gravestones & some memorials inside too.

Some prep for twixmas gaming: 28mm mounted troops. Spreading collection on tabletop to sort units into armies. Aim is to set-up a fictional basic game then trial various rules: Lion Rampant 2, Impetus, TtS, ToR, & possible variations of them. Plus my own scribbles & ideas.

Post-move unpacking, found some naval historical societies booklets no longer needed. Subjects like Chatham Dockyard, Portsmouth, South Coast, Palmerston Forts, etc.
@kejamieson.bsky.social & @jerijerod14.bsky.social - are these any use to you for historical info/research?
Free.
Can do pix later?

Now 15 months ago: Grand Battles C&C Naps Waterloo 1815. Promised the host I'd bring figures & hexes so that meant serious rebasing prep, terrain-fettling & then lots of boxes carefully packed. But it was great fun. It nudged me to overhaul my 15mm Naps, so win-win.

My friends' son (15) was badly let down by the care company tasked with supporting him. Their failure means he now needs immediate pre-operation therapy. So family friends are trying to raise funds urgently. Please help if you can, even if it's just a few quid.

Recommendations welcome: best source for 15mm livestock for Horse & Musket/European setting.
Channeling my Lean/Kubrick tendencies for extra detail on my tabletop, as well as some suitable logistics presence too for army camps. Inspired by @battlegames.bsky.social & his Borg/Grenouisse sheep! 🐑🦆🐖🐄🐐

Almost at an endpoint with folks in my home doing workstuff. Sparx, floorers, plumbers, painters & such. Excellent workers, but now want my home space peaceful. Just BBH & myself, & the 2 fluffs. Just to sit & relax. Appreciate all work done but had enough now. Is this a 'thing' or am I going mad?

Had fun last weekend with #RankAndFile rules for Battle of Minden game. Didn't go to plan other than hold, hold, hold & even that went up in smoke at the end. But it was enjoyable. Consequently it's inspired me to get on with rebasing 15mm WSS/GNW stuff. So that's the weekend sorted.

Considering doing some sketch commissions to raise some funds for the local wargaming and boardgame club that is just starting up. Some semi realistic or anime style ones, or even some cheaper than normal 40k inspired Darkest Dungeon style portraits. Sketches are £15 and DD Portraits are £20

2nd day of boardgaming: luckily getting a hands-on tutorial of Napoleon's Triumph. Such a stylish elegant game. It's definitely different from usual hex-&-counter format. Enjoyably lost & making observation notes on how to delve further into this & learn more soon with my own copy.

Weekend boardgaming at twice-per-year local gaming guild event.

Today: 'Churchill' - interesting game of 'cooperative competition' between USA, GB & USSR in WW2. Defeat Axis powers, but always keep an eye on post-war supremacy. Fair to say it's a challenge to learn. Enjoyed it & will play again.

Fiasco good. Collected Pre-Orders, bought some bits for friend's 10-yr old to get him started, & browsed the games too. Did seem a little cramped for space tho. Made a weekend of it, lots of Thai & Indian food eaten & hotel was very comfy. Needed the break from homestuff, so got a new focus on that.

#FIASCO in Leeds this Sunday. Already well organised, with 3 pre-orders in with traders to then collect at show.

Excellent, impressed, & also skint well before it's Tuesday & I've left the home. I'll be the one licking flavourings from the inside of empty crisp packets!!
