This is not about gatekeeping. Services like Plex can't afford to fight a BS lawsuit and could potentially shut down. This also explains their recent focus on FAST programming.
I don't get why people are loudly declaring they are pirating all of their media and entertainment now. There is a reason all of us have been doing it quietly for over a decade...

Surfing the web is a lost art. We all fish out of several huge lakes that are so big switching lakes feels detrimental when it would be a huge benefit.
