The first time I played Hollow Knight, I found it frustrating, tedious, and at times, even dull. But over the years, I’ve come around on it, and now regard it as a masterpiece. This is the story of how that came to be.

What a fuckin' game, man. I definitely like it more than Hollow Knight, even if I prefer some parts of that game. Honestly, pretty crazy that they managed to make this in *just* 7 years. Already itching to replay it!

33. Alice in Borderland - Season 3

Pretty good ending to a great show. Surprised I don't hear more people talk about this one. I like that it ultimately arrives at a more hopeful and positive conclusion than the likes of Squid Game even in spite of how bleak its world is.

i absolutely LOVE how punishing it is to get hit mid-heal. not only is your heal cancelled, you lose all your silk AND you take additional damage (likely 2 masks) very fair!!

Not gonna lie, I was pretty worried what happened to me with Hollow Knight initially was going to happen again with Silksong. Only put in 6 hours in a 2-week span. Finally got to sit down and play more last night and got a critical upgrade, and now I don’t think that will be happening.

30. The Long Walk (2025)

Have never read the novel, so this was entirely new to me. The relationships built here in the face of such hopelessness and violence genuinely moved me. I appreciated the musings on life and death in particular. Great movie, I thought!
