A Showcase of my best work in the #SonicBattle art style, featuring OCs from a few familiar faces. This has definitely been the most rewarding phase of my art journey, as I’ve found a style I enjoy and wish to stick to.

An OC owned by thecraftyzombie. They’re a pink quaker bird with a light blue and dark grey outfit combination. Their feathers are loose and free in the wind as their back faces the sky. An OC for azulgecko, of their OC Cove the Echidna. The earliest of my newest Battle-Style wave of art, this piece was the first to feature a proper background. With a dark brown torso with cream-colored highlight, dressed in a dark green and blue outfit, splashed against a golden wall, there’s a fresh combination of colors in every square inch. A piece for bunnidex, with it being a test for more interesting pose ideology. In a pose resembling battle stances from early Dragon Ball, a purple and cream rabbit stands in the middle of an arena. Pig rails flow behind, with a bright mint butterfly clip front and center on the bangs. The outfit is reflective of Mega Lopunny, with pink being a primary hue. The one that started it all. My sona Kahuna the Turtle Dove in one of my earliest attempts. A gracefully standing posture with a battle ready hand outstretched, holding a sharp card. Hair flows back with gentle glasses dotting his beak. Green and purple clothes make up his ensemble, with a fresh combing of hair to the side for style.

I present to you some of my best redesign work yet. All three of these birds are my earliest OCs, and now they’ve finally been given the treatment they deserve. My submission for this month’s #ciaoodeechallenge , “The Beach Episode”. Enjoy everyone.
A blurry, airbrushed beach background with a soft blend of tans and blues. In the bottom right corner, an orange logo reading “Ciaoo Dee’s Art Challenge” can be seen. As the main focal point, a dusty brown Lyrebird named Cyber, a soft red Scarlet Macaw named Circuit, and a deep purple Nightingale named Chirp can be seen. Each is done in the Sonic Battle style and sports a fitting beach outfit.

I wanted to finally tackle this design, and I was not let down. It was quite fun, especially since it was unlike any other OC I had drawn before.

I’ll try to leave some of my WIP sketches in the comments later for those curious.
A digital sketch of a Hybrid Bird/Tiger Oc named Autumn, done in the Sonic Battle Art Style. Many of the colors were slightly tweaked to reflect a brighter, more energetic tone, with the background featuring the menu style of the game. The overall design was simplified due to my personal lack of experience in more detailed anatomy, but I maintained as much as I could. Def one of my funnest experiences in doing this artstyle yet.

The bird guy is Back in action. This is a piece for @azulgeck0.bsky.social and their birb OC Rainy. An excellent practice case for gradients and the Battle style.
Rainy, a Bird Mobian. They are a light blue color, with a dark green set of Bellbottom pants and a cropped shirt. The openings of the shirt and pants have a triangle pattern of blue and purple. Their hair flows behind them, a mix of yellows and blues with a few accent purple feathers.

Continuing to try and experiment with my current style with a gift for @bunnidex.bsky.social and their rabbit Latte, sporting a Mega Loppuny fit.

Good Morning Bluesky Sonic Community! Kom here, cooking up another battle piece for @realsparkstar.bsky.social to give them a taste of my full Battle styling. If this pushes past 100 likes, I’ll also throw in the rabbit design.

The feel is immaculate. The small dots of missing and intensified color really give that paper feel, and the shading on Surge’s hair is wonderfully done. Very soft and very smooth overall.
