Whale and dolphin species you have never heard of! Meet the hourglass dolphin. This gorgeous species frequents the cold Antarctic and sub-antarctic waters. The beautiful coloration is known as counter-shading and acts as camouflage in the ocean! Did you know about the hourglass dolphin?

New study shows that megalodon was likely even larger than we think and looked more like a lemon shark! This is in part due to the laws of hydrodynamics which would require that an animal that size be less bulky and more streamlined.

J62 is likely the calf of J41 Eclipse! Both J41 and her mom J19 have been seen swimming with the calf between them to lessen its energy consumption. It’s an uphill battle but J62 has some fight in them!
