You are what you eat when you are a sea otter! Sea otters have been known to specialize on foods like purple sea urchins. They also can eat ALOT of them. So many that sometimes their teeth and even bones turn purple!

New study shows that megalodon was likely even larger than we think and looked more like a lemon shark! This is in part due to the laws of hydrodynamics which would require that an animal that size be less bulky and more streamlined.

J62 is likely the calf of J41 Eclipse! Both J41 and her mom J19 have been seen swimming with the calf between them to lessen its energy consumption. It’s an uphill battle but J62 has some fight in them!
