Eh? No, Slinkies can be detangled any number of times. They're very versatile. Technically, if the damage gets bad enough you can straighten a slinky and recoil it yourself.

Actually, most slinkies can be fixed with the spinning method or other detangling methods. If there are bends and warps, applying heat can usually do the trick. It may have some damage marks in the end, but it's still useful.

If you're careful and treat a slinky with love, you can use it forever.
