As I shared on @theweekendprime.bsky.social, we’re witnessing the largest “de-documentation” effort in modern US history.

That runs contrary to the will of the American people, who overwhelmingly support a balanced approach between border security and functional legal immigration pathways.
Sharing some thoughts on my time in Minnesota yesterday. Thanks again to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, NALCAB, and the local organizers for having me. I am so inspired by the community of MPL and all communities standing with immigrants and refugees.

Another big win for the rule of law! Federal judge just blocked the end of TPS for Haiti, which was supposed to go into effect tomorrow.

Violence and unrest remains prevalent in Haiti and this decision keeps more than 350k people safe while the case makes its way through the courts.

I’m relieved that Liam has been returned home after being held in a Texas detention facility. No child should have to endure the fear and confusion of detention — especially far from family, community, and everything familiar. Children are not bargaining chips in our immigration system.

The support for immigrants at last night’s Grammys reminded us that art has always been a powerful voice for belonging. Immigrants shape our culture, strengthen our communities, and move this country forward — whether on a global stage or in our neighborhoods. Moments like this matter. 💛

This senseless killing of Alex Pretti is a shocking tragedy that never should have happened.

Alex's death is another unbearable loss in what has become a near-constant stream of violence, pain, & cruelty under the auspices of federal immigration enforcement.
