So glad we did a datacamp-writing-retreat at Kristineberg Center for Marine Research and Innovation. Doing parts of a project that normally are stressful and difficult was infinitely easier in such a beautiful place with lovely people and other organisms ☺️ Thanks also @jutfelt.bsky.social!
A goby fish, probably round goby, resting on top of a PVC pipe in an aquarium. Only the head and part of the back and pelvic fins are visible, and they are coloured different shades of light brown. The fish has a huge mouth relative to its head, and looks very cute. One dark brown eye with a golden ring around the iris is visible, and seems to be looking into camera. Three smiling women, Zara-Louise Cowan, Lucy Cotgrove and Jenni Prokkola, having a drink on a sunny terrace of a restaurant. It is warm since they all weat t-shirts, and all are wearing sunglasses. There is a cute orange cockerspaniel called Ludo at the feet of Zara, sitting on the left. Top view of a white and brownish sea urhin on a sandy floor in an aquarium, leaning left towards another sea urchin. At the center of it there are small tentacles in a circle, surrounded by a symmetrical brown circle where white tentacles are shooting outwards. Zara and Lucy sitting at the terrace of the Kristineberg center, shades by the sun, with laptops open on the table. Ludo the cockerspaniel is seated between them.

Safety Day at Kristineberg! We have conducted a safety exercise focusing on two scenarios: fuel stop and fire onboard research vessels. Practicing regularly is an important part of our work – it ensures that we are well prepared to act quickly and correctly in the event of an emergency at sea.
