Extreme heat doesn’t receive the same “round-the-clock” coverage as wildfires, hurricanes, or floods. Yet, “Of all the climate disasters we face, heat is the most urgent, and its day-to-day effects are also the trickiest to talk about.” By Meg Bernhard @columjournreview.bsky.social
What Makes Heat So Hard to Cover?
For journalists, the most urgent climate disaster is also the trickiest to report on.

Quote by Kristi White that states, “Health psychology and behavioral medicine have ample opportunities for addressing the health impacts of climate change through prioritizing co-benefit solutions in clinical practice and educational settings. How we respond to this call to action represents an important inflection point for our fields at this critical juncture in history.

As expected, the Trump team is already deleting climate info from government websites. In anticipation, our team at Urban Ocean Lab created a permanent archive of 100+ key resources and published a permanent archive: www.urbanoceanlab.org/resource-hub 👩🏽‍💻

1/12. Lots of engagement with this Walmart research post. I wanted to follow up on one of the themes I noticed in reactions. This will be a longer thread than I usually write, but I want to weave together a few related points on science (and communication about it), public engagement, and policy.
