Look. Literally no one at this point should be presenting claims about “if you’re picked up by ICE you must be a criminal” either without context or prominently. Mainstream media is doing great on this one; everyone else should follow suit.
And subsequent analysis has shown that effectively none of the huge increase in detention and deportation over the past year is people with serious criminal records. Because there aren’t enough actual criminals to hit the deportation numbers Stephen Miller’s ethnic cleansing requires.

DHS doesn’t even bother trying to lie well. The man whose skull was shattered told the hospital he’d been struck by ICE officers, an ICE officer told hospital staff the guy “got his sh*t rocked,” then when it became clear how badly he was injured, they claimed he deliberately ran into a wall.
