Matthew Macfadyen brought A.I./Crypto-hustler energy to his depiction of Charles Guiteau in "Death by Lightning." His Guiteau would have willed himself into social media fame by screaming "LEAVE CHESTER A. ARTHUR ALONE." There would be so many trending SEO posts about him in modern media.

I guess what's crazy about this story is that some Campbell's products are about to see their highest sales of the year thanks to some "traditional" Thanksgiving recipes.

I wrote about the fake account blowup on X this weekend. A genuine post-truth nightmare and proof that these companies have polluted their platforms so thoroughly and traded reality for profit that they've undermined the very idea of what the internet is supposed to be.

Civil Rights, Suffrage or Reconstruction. World War 1 would also be great. Gilded Age?
I figure Ken Burns has one, maybe two big documentary series in him before he fully retires. What do you think they should be? My votes include Football, Hip-Hop, World War 1, Reconstruction (though Skip Gates did this one well), Iraq/Afghanistan, 19th Century Expansionism.

AR-PHARAZÔN: He was. Not that that excuses it.

DOGE isn’t gone. The 19-26 year olds burrowed in to the agencies they were assigned to. We’ve got dozens of unqualified 19-26 year old GS15s still pursuing Musk’s agenda, which is stealing everyone’s PII/data, all contracting info, moving it onto his servers, & mining it for his profits. 1/
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

People who defend the Silicon Valley people who are trying to turn us all into the batteries for The Matrix never imagine themselves as “among the batteries” in that scenario. It’s like zombie apocalypse plans that don’t account for the fact that you’re more likely to land among the zombies.
