Soooo ulnar nerve entrapment is a thing.
It's a very painful thing as it progresses.
Gotta look into a specific type of massage as meds are doing jack shit.
It's amazing to realize how much you utilize your elbow when you're not supposed to anymore.

Creative Fatigue
You know what's the worst thing? To absolutely love what you're creating, and yet be so tired and exhausted at the state of things that it's difficult to create.
I realize I'm not alone in this.
But I just kinda had to say it out loud

I swear. I'm going through editing this book and I just got to a chapter with stats I DO NOT REMEMBER CREATING...

Soooo there's that.

How is your Monday?

Editing and I have a hate love relationship.
Yeah I know hate love looks weird...
But I hate it first, and then I love the result.

Better than hate hate right?

Editing requires intense concentration from me
Some days, my brain is so squirrel like that's just not happening lol
2025 has been one of those days
🤣

Dear everyone who rolls up in my comments when I’m talking about something that is not The Current Chaos, berating me that There Are More Important Things to Be Thinking About, please, and I say this with love, fuck all the way off into the sun, I will do as I please, unfollow me if it bothers you.

Can someone do a PhD comparing the perceived length of January 2025 with March 2020? Quantum something-or-other definitely going on there.

Time to write. It's always time to write.
Lately it's been kind of hard to get in the flow

One chapter.
Then another.

Oh would you look at that squirrel...

It's about the details

Do you ever look back at your life and have pieces sort of click into place? Realizations of what specific memories actually meant in the bigger picture?
Childhood is so fleeting and yet, here I am realizing how much it defined me. Maybe I've always been a spite writer haha, for stories and life.

Okay nooooow I'm mostly healthy again, it's time to jump back on that writing horse!
Off I go...
See, I'm already there ;)

A gentle reminder that you should always resist the temptation to tag a creative person into a negative review of their work. It doesn't matter what your intentions are, it's kind of an asshole maneuver. You are free to say whatever you like, of course. Making it their problem, however, is not kind.

I have officially been sick for a whole month...
Slowly crawling out of that hole lol

Sick sucks

So does your basement flooding on 1/1

But! Look at it this way - the only way my 2025 can go is up, right? RIGHT?

Weekends are generally, mostly, for family.
Saturdays at least.
But when I'm nearing the end of a book, I always feel more motivated to write becasue the words just tumble
Not sure if that's a good thing, but it's definitely a part that makes me remember why I write in the first place

I've had an oddly productive December so far. Almost 18k in the first 6 days. About 10ishk - 5 chapters ish left of book 4 to draft.
Kinda excited about this ending. I think it's my favorite in the series so far.
Feeling oddly proud of myself.
Go me!

Epilepsy sucks.
Kid had a seizure last night.
It's not a tonic-clonic type.
But it drains her, makes her skin sallow, and she gets this weird darkness under her eyes, like bruising but not.
She's asleep right now.
She's supposed to grow out of it.
I hope she does.

Time to finish book 4

Spent today reminiscing about the past with my sister
Lots of revelations
Newfound understanding

And for the first time in my life, I actually feel at peace.

It's a nice sensation.

Now I'm going to go and write a fight scene because I make shit up for a living 😏

Yesterdays dictation was a bit of a train wreck. It's usually not much trouble to edit what I've dictated, but this time I wasn't in the right headspace while writing and now I have a lot to clean up.
Framework is still good...
Buuuuuut
Anyway, the chapter is going to rock once I'm done

Two stages of writing:

1) This shouldn't take too long
2) Oh no
