I am truly such a proponent of "I hope we all make it" because I just love all the joy when a project is released and I get to see how many people are excited to share their contributions, no matter how big or small.

Between issues upon (or even before) release and titles not doing well, games might be what have given me the least satisfaction as a translator out of the different things I've gotten to work on.

And it's not like I've hated any of the work either, or I might feel less disappointed. 😔

Everything listed today is Japanese music or music related games. Some of my favorite artists. Cocco, Love Psychedelico, Amuro Namie, Puffy, Asian Kung-Fu Generation. And I am bias, but I think the prices are not bad.

I'm a big fan of Japanese entertainment and media, so most of my translation work is in comics and subtitles.

I'm in the middle of translating a YouTube series which I hope to share soon.

I'm also the translator and a cast member of "Peteru The Money Maker," a local theatre production in Nagoya.

A bit of a specific example, but it's what I'm currently going through as a junior high school ALT, and there really isn't much ground to push back on it especially halfway through the school year.

Depends on the school and/or teacher, but a lot of teachers (especially older ones) are still stuck on rote memorization for verbs and their conjugations.

Which is probably in part due to the charts the textbooks provide of how the weirder verbs conjugate, but still, it doesn't "teach" anything.

Kinda depressed to hear that a mobile game I had worked on will be ending its service in the near future.

I get that if it's not doing well, it's not doing well.
Also that if I'm not credited, no one will ever really know.
