I'm Aly! Mostly, I like to talk about video games, and am an avid fan of RPGs and otome games.

I work FT in public sector finance, but localization is my passion. I had the very fortunate opportunity to be a loc editor for the Switch port of Tokyo Xanadu eX+! And hoping there will be more to come!

i'm glad!! the prices really weren't as bad as they could've been, some other kpop shows this year had some insane pricing so i'm glad this is just a lot more accessible in general

e33 is interesting to me because you can so easily tell what inspired it and that makes it fun to pick up on plot points and foreshadowing

but my favorite thing is sincerely how much of the aesthetic relies on art deco in its styling bc it's just one of my all-time favorite aesthetics

i do miss my big gulp nitro cold brews but 99% of the time the machines just spit out water with no coffee bc all the 7-11 locations near me kind of suck. and my coffee options at home don't have that boost.

i need to invest in an espresso machine, honestly

my weekend life has been fundamentally changed by the existence of zero sugar added iced coffees from dutch bros bc that shit is loaded with caffeine but does not destroy my calorie deficit.

and i live super close to one so it's convenient

Exactly! It always makes me so happy to see people succeeding and doing what they love. It's rough out here in so many ways so I never want to take those moments for granted. Better to share joy than misery (which there is understandably too much of these days)

I love seeing people share their successes and even if it's usually just through social media, having those little connections because so much of socmed these days is about rage and frustration. Anything positive is just worth sharing and celebrating together!!

I am truly such a proponent of "I hope we all make it" because I just love all the joy when a project is released and I get to see how many people are excited to share their contributions, no matter how big or small.

It's just very cool to get to know so many passionate people, honestly

Many moons ago, in the nascent stage of my career, I did a small amount of scenario editing for what would become the Geofront's fan localization of Ys vs. Trails in the Sky. Now that project has finally coalesced into an official, sanctioned release. I'm grateful to be credited alongside this team.

In the last 15 months, I've gotten to see my name in two games AND on a massive screen for a crowd of 50k people at SoFi Stadium, and I think those are just very neat accomplishments for a weird little goober nerd like me 🥹
