Update: thought about the final shot in the shower earlier and started crying.
Missed If I Had Legs, I’d Kick You at IFFBoston (skipped because I was super burnt out that week). My boyfriend called me after seeing it saying I shouldn’t watch it by myself, or at least wait until I could watch it at home, like he was terrified of leaving me with a sharp object.
He was right.

I went plot point by plot point on Lost Highway for the upcoming episode and it truly is an easy to understand film when you break it down to its essential components, just like Inland Empire.
Prepare for a long episode, Nicole (predictably) had a lot to say about Lynch and what Lost Highway specifically says about misogyny and how men excuse and live with the violence they do to women through displacement, dissociation, and compartmentalization.
