I don't get new ratings on Goodreads very often anymore, but they are pretty consistent. Maybe you should take the hint and read "Everything I Know About Zombies, I Learned in Kindergarten". I promise that it will be worth your time.

Those that know me know that I listen to a *lot* of ska and rocksteady. Not many still have me randomly bursting into song the next day.

There's a historical reason for this slur, but I can't imagine what was going in in 1943 that made Maggie use "condensed form of an atom" as a slur in a comic strip.

Occasionally, someone nails it.
If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

My morning included this image of Maureen O'Hara from Jim Silke. She always reminds me of my last conversation with my father. He had been adamant that he was not to be intubated, but grudgingly agreed for what he had been promised would be a short time for one procedure.

While not this particular version, "White Wedding" was playing on the radio when @dmariewms.bsky.social called me some forty years ago to tell me she was getting married.

It wasn't a bad omen, apparently.

In case this helps anyone: both mine and a friend's computer (me:Ubuntu, him:Windows 10) started to hang whenever they encountered a Captcha or any other Cloudflare service. In both cases, manually installing Firefox 145 cleared it. Firefox 143 was refusing to offer 145 as an automatic upgrade.
